React Development

# React interfaces that stay understandable as the product grows.

A dashboard can look finished while its loading states, permissions and unsaved changes still confuse users. We build and improve React frontends around the tasks people actually perform, with clear ownership of state and components your team can maintain.

THE ENGAGEMENT

## Scope, implementation and acceptance.

1. **Map the interaction** Trace data, permissions and failure paths.
2. **Implement the states** Build components with explicit behavior.
3. **Prove the journey** Exercise the agreed flow and hand over the code.

DIRECT ANSWER

React development covers the interactive frontend of an existing or planned product: components, state, API connections, accessibility and behavior under real use. We agree which journeys change and how the result will be accepted.

Best for

- Teams with a React product that is becoming difficult to change
- Products needing complex, accessible interfaces over an existing backend

Consider another approach

- An undecided product idea that still needs discovery
- A public content website whose main requirement is editorial publishing

## Start with a journey that is hard to complete

An account screen, operational dashboard or multi-step editor makes a useful boundary. We trace its data and state before changing the component tree. If the product itself is still undefined, use [Software Discovery](/services/software-discovery/). A full web product belongs with [Web App Development](/services/web-apps/); this engagement can focus entirely on its frontend.

## Separate shared data from temporary interface state

We identify which values belong in the URL, server cache, form or local component. Loading, empty, stale, forbidden and failed states are designed alongside the successful response. The implementation includes keyboard operation, labels, focused component tests and API error handling. We profile measured rendering problems before adding memoization or a new state library.

## A review queue that survives a failed save

Illustrative acceptance scenario: an operator filters a queue, edits a record and loses the network during save. Their input remains visible, a failed request is distinguishable from a completed update, retrying does not create a duplicate operation, and browser navigation restores the agreed filter. We record the tested roles, browser conditions and backend assumptions. This is a proposed verification scenario, not a client result.

## Refactor in slices that can be reviewed

The first output is a map of the affected components, contracts and risks. We agree whether to extend the existing structure or replace a bounded part, then deliver reviewable changes behind the existing release process. Shared libraries spanning several products are a [Design Systems](/services/design-systems/) engagement. Framework-wide migration can be coordinated through [Legacy Modernization](/services/legacy-modernization/).

## Leave the next developer a usable explanation

You receive source, the relevant tests, state and API assumptions, and notes for adding the next screen. We use the [React guidance on components and state](https://react.dev/learn/thinking-in-react) as a reference, while keeping decisions appropriate to your application. Bring repository access, a reproducible environment, sample API responses and someone who can accept the intended behavior.

## Questions before you start

### Can you work inside an existing React application?

Yes. We inspect its build, component conventions and critical journeys before proposing changes. An isolated improvement is often a better starting point than replacing the architecture.

### Does this include backend development?

Only when explicitly included. We document required API changes and can scope them alongside the frontend. Existing backend ownership remains visible in the delivery plan.

### How is this different from Next.js development?

This page concerns React interaction and frontend structure. Use our Next.js service when routing, rendering, server boundaries or framework deployment are central to the engagement.

### Will every component become part of a design system?

No. We extract reusable patterns where there is repeated demand. A shared library with versioning, documentation and adoption across teams has its own scope.

## Continue with the right scope

- [Next.js application engineering](/services/nextjs-development/)
- [Shared components across products](/services/design-systems/)
- [Build a complete web application](/services/web-apps/)
