Know who responds when the service needs attention.
Alerts are useful only when someone can act on them. We establish the people, access, runbooks and escalation behind recurring cloud operations, so monitoring, response and recovery have an explicit owner and a defined coverage window.
Wavect provides separately scoped managed cloud operations covering monitoring, incident handling, routine operating tasks and reporting. Coverage, including a 24/7 arrangement where agreed, starts only after staffing, authority, escalation and contractual terms are confirmed.
Best for
Teams that need an accountable operator for defined cloud workloads
Businesses planning a staffed on-call arrangement beyond ordinary maintenance
Consider another approach
An uncontracted emergency response request or an assumed uptime guarantee
List what is operated and what remains elsewhere
The agreement identifies workloads, environments, dependencies and the organizations responsible for them. Distinguish an application incident from a provider outage, a security incident and a customer-support request. Ordinary Software Maintenance covers planned software care; it does not automatically supply the staffed monitoring and response defined by this operations engagement.
Confirm the operating team before the start date
Define the coverage window, severity levels, acknowledgement and response targets, escalation chain and authority for changes. If 24/7 coverage is required, we agree the staffed arrangement and any disclosed specialist partners before accepting it. An enquiry or a monitoring installation does not activate coverage. Any uptime commitment is negotiated explicitly with its dependencies and exclusions.
Make alerts actionable and recovery rehearsable
Review telemetry, service checks, backup evidence, permissions and the runbooks available to responders. Remove alerts without an owner or a meaningful action. Rehearse representative failure and recovery scenarios before handing over responsibility. Cloud Security can address broader hardening gaps; application or infrastructure changes uncovered during onboarding are scoped rather than hidden in the operating fee.
Illustrative check: a failed service reaches the right responder
A controlled rehearsal triggers a defined service alert. The named responder receives it during the contracted coverage window, classifies the event and follows the runbook. Escalation is tested when the first action does not restore service. The record captures actual timings and gaps. This is a proposed acceptance exercise, not evidence of an existing response SLA.
Turn repeated incidents into explicit decisions
Operating records capture alerts, actions, approved changes and unresolved risks. Reviews examine recurring causes, capacity, restore checks and upcoming changes that affect supportability. Cost work can be commissioned through Cloud Cost Optimization. Suspected compromise follows the agreed security escalation and may require a separate Incident Response engagement.
Keep access and handover workable
Your organization retains its cloud accounts and an agreed emergency-access path. Role scope, subcontractors, access removal and evidence retention are documented. The exit plan transfers current runbooks, known issues and operating records to the next owner. Changes to critical hours, systems or dependencies trigger a coverage review so the contract continues to describe the service actually being operated.
Questions before you start
A 24/7 arrangement can be scoped and contracted when the required staffing and escalation model are confirmed. It is never implied by a development or maintenance engagement.
No. Availability commitments, measurement, exclusions and remedies require explicit agreement for the supported systems.
We first assess access, runbooks, monitoring and recovery readiness. The agreement states when responsibility and coverage begin.
No. The contract separates routine operating actions, incident handling and development work, with approval paths for additional changes.
Describe your systems, critical hours and current response arrangements. We confirm scope, staffing and coverage before proposing an operating agreement.
