Working with Wavect in Munich

Munich’s official economic-development pages describe roughly 2,500 startups in the region, a deep-tech focus, major research institutions, established technology companies, and more than 140 venture-capital and private-equity firms. That is a large ecosystem, but size alone does not create a reason to hire us.

The reason is technical authority. A research-heavy product, a funded scale-up, or a team selling into enterprise can reach a point where architecture, security, delivery, and hiring must be explained and owned at executive level.

Wavect works from Austria, remote first. Munich is inside our planned on-site zone because rail travel from Tirol is practical. We do not claim a Munich office.

// LOCAL FIT

Two Munich situations where a fractional CTO fits

Both require senior technical judgement, but not necessarily a permanent executive yet.

Deep tech is moving from research evidence to production evidence

The technology works in a controlled setting. Customers now need reliability, security, integration, support, and a technical roadmap that survives contact with enterprise requirements.

A funded team is preparing for enterprise scale or diligence

The engineering team ships, but technical risk, hiring, platform ownership, and vendor choices cannot be presented as one coherent plan. We build and own that plan.
// FIRST 30 DAYS

The first 30 days with a Munich team

We turn technical ambition into an evidence-backed operating order.

  1. Establish the technical baseline
    Review architecture, data, security, delivery, incidents, suppliers, team structure, and the commitments already made to customers or investors.
  2. Rank the enterprise blockers
    Separate the work needed for reliability, compliance, integration, and support from platform work that can wait.
  3. Set the executive cadence
    Create a decision log, delivery and risk view, hiring plan, and a short reporting format for founders, customers, or the board.
// ROLE CHECK

Munich team: engineering authority or product authority?

The Fractional CTO owns engineering. The Fractional CPO Munich owns post-PMF discovery, prioritization, and roadmap. If deep-tech feasibility and product sequencing are still one problem, use the Fractional CTPO .

Fractional CTO Munich: local questions

Cross-border delivery, stated plainly.

No. Wavect GmbH is Austrian, Kevin is based in Innsbruck, and Munich is reachable for planned on-site work by rail. Day-to-day leadership is remote; travel and on-site hours are quoted separately.
Yes. We can own architecture, delivery risk, vendors, hiring, and technical reporting while the team keeps building. Contract and compliance requirements are scoped with the client; we do not claim legal or certification authority we do not have.
