Working with Wavect in Vienna

Vienna gives Wavect a practical local base through Christof. It also has an international startup network: ViennaUP reported more than 14,000 participants from over 90 countries across 65 events in 2026.

That density can produce useful connections and a lot of product noise. Investors, enterprise prospects, partners, and different markets can all generate plausible roadmap requests. A CPO’s job is not to collect them. It is to decide which customer problem the company will prove next.

We take that authority after product-market fit and only when the founder is ready to delegate it. We do not own engineering under a CPO scope.

// LOCAL FIT

Two Vienna situations where product leadership is the bottleneck

The product has evidence. The problem is deciding what that evidence means.

Investor and customer requests have become the roadmap

Every request sounds strategic because it comes from an important stakeholder. We restore customer evidence, explicit trade-offs, and one product sequence.

A founder-led product now spans markets and teams

The founder still approves every decision while sales, delivery, and fundraising consume the calendar. We install a product operating cadence and take the weekly call.
// FIRST 30 DAYS

The first 30 days with a Vienna product team

No 80-slide strategy deck. We produce a product decision system the team can use.

  1. Reconstruct the evidence
    Review customers, interviews, usage, win-loss notes, commitments, roadmap history, and the assumptions currently presented to the board.
  2. Choose the next product outcome
    Define what must be learned or changed in the next quarter and which requests do not support that outcome.
  3. Run the cadence
    Set discovery interviews, prioritization criteria, roadmap review, stakeholder communication, and a clear product narrative.
// ROLE CHECK

Vienna team: product problem or engineering problem?

Use the Fractional CPO for roadmap, discovery, and prioritization. Use the Fractional CTO Vienna for architecture, engineering, vendors, and production. Use the Fractional CTPO if the same leader must own both.

Fractional CPO Vienna: local questions

Roadmap ownership without pretending every stakeholder is the customer.

Yes. Christof is based in Vienna, so customer workshops, board discussions, and roadmap reviews can be planned on-site as a paid add-on. Day-to-day product work remains remote.
No. The CPO owns product direction, customer evidence, and prioritization. Engineering belongs to the Fractional CTO Vienna . If you need one owner across both, use the Fractional CTPO .
