What does a fractional CPO actually do?
A fractional CPO takes responsibility for product priorities, customer discovery and the roadmap after product-market fit. This gives founders a clear person to delegate product decisions to; engineering remains the CTO’s responsibility. At Wavect, both founders are involved in this product-only part of our combined CTPO role. The typical commitment is one to two days per week on a retainer you can cancel weekly, with a planned handover to your full-time CPO.
