Tokenization

# Asset Tokenization Development

The token is the easy part. Issuance, who may hold it, investor onboarding and keeping the chain matched to your registry are where tokenization projects stall.

- Mainnet Technofix GP26, a tokenization contract, taken from offer to Ethereum mainnet in 48 hours with operator documentation [See the case study](/case-studies/technofix/)
- RWA Fiat-to-chain NFT drops and a full checkout for LivLive's real-world-asset platform [See the case study](/case-studies/livlive/)
- No wallet Museum visitors claim supply-limited coins on Base, with or without a wallet, while SKD covers the network fee [See the case study](/case-studies/skd-cabinet-coin/)

## What We Do

A tokenized asset is a legal claim, an on-chain record and an investor experience at the same time. If one of the three drifts from the others, the token stops meaning anything.

Issuance Flows

Minting tied to an approved event in the real world, not to whoever holds the deployer key.

- Issuance triggered by approved off-chain events
- Tightly scoped supply caps and mint roles
- Signed, expiring claim and mint authorizations
- Burn and redemption paths defined before launch

Transfer and Allowlist Rules

Who may hold and receive the token, enforced in code and mirrored in your back office.

- Allowlists tied to your onboarding status
- Transfer restrictions, lockups and holding periods
- Freeze and forced-transfer roles if your counsel requires them
- Every rule mapped to a test

Investor Onboarding

Onboarding that ends with a usable position, not a support ticket.

- Identity and eligibility checks through your chosen provider
- Wallet creation for investors who do not have one
- Fiat and crypto subscription flows
- Status visible to investor and operator alike

Portfolio and Operator UI

Two interfaces: one for the investor, one for the team running the asset.

- Holdings, distributions and transaction history
- Document and disclosure delivery
- Operator console for issuance, allowlist and corporate actions
- Role-based access for issuer staff

Cap Table and Registry Sync

The chain and your register have to agree every day, and you need to know when they do not.

- Event indexing into your registry or cap table
- Daily reconciliation with alerts on drift
- Distribution calculations from on-chain state
- Audit trail for every privileged action

## How we approach tokenization

We start from the asset and the people allowed to hold it, then decide how much of that belongs on-chain. The contracts themselves are built and hardened the way our [smart contract development](/services/smart-contract-development/) page describes: on [Technofix](/case-studies/technofix/) that meant implementation, automated checks, a rehearsed deployment and operator documentation inside one short brief. On [LivLive](/case-studies/livlive/) the real-world-asset platform needed fiat-to-chain drops and a checkout that held under load. On [Cabinet Coin](/case-studies/skd-cabinet-coin/) visitors claim supply-limited coins through signed, expiring authorizations without any wallet experience. If investors pay in stablecoins, the checkout side sits with [crypto payment integration](/services/crypto-payment-integration/), and custom wallet products with [Web3 wallet development](/services/web3-wallet-development/). For anything broader, start at the [Web3 hub](/services/blockchain/).

## When you should not tokenize

Tokenization does not create liquidity, buyers or legal clarity. If nobody will trade the asset on-chain, a well-run register and a database will serve your investors better and cost far less. If the legal structure is not settled, code written now gets rewritten once counsel decides what the token represents and which licence you need. Classification, licensing and the choice of a regulated token standard belong to your lawyers. We build what they approve and tell you plainly when a technical shortcut would change the legal picture. And if the only argument is that investors expect a token, we will say that too.

## FAQs

Honest answers about tokenization delivery

### How does the weekly cancellation actually work?

End any week, with one message. No notice period, no exit interview, no fine print. We invoice weekly, so the most you’re ever committed to is the current week.

### What if I'm not blown away by the work?

It’s in your contract: tell us, and we refund that week. No questions, no invoices to dispute, no calls to escalate. The only rule: refunds apply to the most recent week.

### Why don't you track hours?

Because hours are the wrong metric. If we optimize for hours billed, we do not optimize for your outcome. The deal is simpler: every week has a defined result, and we earn the next week by delivering it. You pay for progress against that result, not for a timesheet.

### What does 'expectations detached from reality' mean?

We work with operators, not lottery winners. If a request would require breaking physics, the law, or a third party’s systems, we say so, and if we can’t align, we walk. The guarantee is mutual: you can fire us any week; we can also fire ourselves.

### What does asset tokenization development actually include?

The issuance flow, the rules for who can hold and transfer the token, investor onboarding, the portfolio and operator interfaces, and the sync between the chain and your registry or cap table. The token contract is one piece of that. Its implementation and hardening follow our [smart contract](/services/smart-contract-development/) process, including an independent third-party audit, because we do not audit our own code.

### Which token standard should we use for a security token?

That is a legal decision first. Whether your asset counts as a security, and which standard and licence follow from that, is for your counsel and regulator to settle. We make no claims about regulated security-token standards. Once the requirements are fixed, we implement them and map each rule to a contract function, an event and a test.

### How does the allowlist stay in sync with onboarding?

Your onboarding provider decides who is eligible. A backend service writes that status to the allowlist through a narrowly scoped role and records every change. A daily reconciliation compares on-chain holders with your investor register and alerts on any difference, so a holder who should not be there is found by you, not by an auditor.

### Can investors without crypto experience take part?

Yes. Embedded wallets behind a normal login and fiat subscription flows keep the token out of sight until someone asks for the keys. On [Cabinet Coin](/case-studies/skd-cabinet-coin/) visitors claim coins without wallet experience and the network fee is covered for them. If you need a full custom wallet product rather than an embedded one, that is [Web3 wallet development](/services/web3-wallet-development/).

### What drives the cost of a tokenization project?

The trust surface, not the asset class. A single-chain token with an allowlist and an operator console is a bounded build. Distributions, redemptions, several jurisdictions, multiple chains and a two-way registry sync each add real scope. We quote against signed rules; if they are still moving, we suggest a short discovery first. Our [tokenomics implementation guide](/blog/tokenomics-implementation-infrastructure-2026/) lists the decisions to sign before coding starts.
