## Make the form value mean one thing

We define required, optional, nullable and disabled fields, including what a reset does and which values reach the API. [Typed reactive forms](https://angular.dev/guide/forms/typed-forms) help make those expectations explicit in code. Server validation and accessible error messages remain part of the workflow. Adding types alone does not settle the business rules.

## Keep navigation and asynchronous data in step

Agree which filters and selections belong in the URL, what a direct link loads and how unsaved work is handled. Reactive requests need clear loading, cancellation and error behavior. We coordinate route guards with backend permissions: [Angular’s guard guidance](https://angular.dev/guide/routing/route-guards) explicitly retains server-side authorization. A hidden page is not an access-control boundary.

## Respect the application’s real version constraints

Inventory Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, build tooling and component-library compatibility before proposing a migration. Keep useful existing conventions, and separate an upgrade from unrelated redesign. ## Illustrative acceptance: an approval form with protected totals

An operator changes an order draft while the calculated total stays read-only. Reset restores the agreed values, submission includes the correct fields, and an expired session preserves the draft without falsely confirming approval. Opening the direct route and using browser back produce the expected state. The server rejects an unauthorized approval. This is a proposed acceptance exercise, not a client result.

## Leave a form and route model the team can extend

Deliverables include implementation, meaningful form and navigation tests, dependency decisions and upgrade notes. Your maintainers walk through adding a field or route without duplicating state. Bring reproducible setup, API examples and supported browser requirements. ### Must we convert every module at once?

No. We assess the existing structure and agree a migration boundary. A working feature can remain while a neighboring area changes.

### Can you work with our component library?

Yes, subject to its version support and extension points. We check custom controls, validation and keyboard behavior before committing to an upgrade.

### Does this include backend changes?

Only when scoped. Required endpoint or permission changes are documented with an owner; the frontend cannot make an unsupported server operation reliable.

### Will an Angular upgrade make the app faster?

Not automatically. Performance work needs a measured bottleneck, representative data and agreed browser conditions. Version changes and performance claims are evaluated separately.
