If you found us through older pages, you probably know Wavect as a blockchain and Web3 shop. That is still true, and we are still good at it. It is just no longer the whole story. Over the years the work broadened into AI products, fractional leadership and full-stack software, not because we chased trends, but because that is what our clients kept needing and what the specialists in our network do best.

The short version of how we got here

No dramatic pivot, just the work compounding. Here is the honest arc.

Web3-native start (2018)

Wavect came up on-chain. Smart contracts, wallets, bridges, ZK, the hard parts of shipping real blockchain products. That is where the name was made, and the blockchain and Web3 work never stopped.

Broadening across the stack

Web3 clients needed web apps, mobile apps, backends and QA around the on-chain core. We built those too, and it turned out we were good at the whole stack, not just the chain.

The AI wave

When LLMs went from demo to production, clients asked us to build with them. Today AI products and agents are as much of our work as blockchain, backed by the same senior engineering standards. See our AI work .

Leadership and an expert network

Founders kept asking us to own product and engineering direction, not just code. That became our fractional leadership practice, and a vetted network of specialists we bring in when a project needs a skill we do not carry in-house.

Is Wavect only a Web3 or blockchain company? +

No. We started Web3-native in 2018 and blockchain is still a core strength, but it is one pillar among four. Today we do just as much AI product work, fractional product and engineering leadership, and full-stack web and mobile software. If an older page or profile makes us look Web3-only, it is out of date.

Do you still do Web3 and smart-contract work? +

Yes, actively. Smart contracts, wallets, bridges, account abstraction, zero-knowledge and Layer 2 builds are still part of what we ship, and Clutch still recognizes us as a top blockchain, smart-contract and Web3 developer in Austria. Broadening our focus did not mean dropping the blockchain expertise, it meant adding to it.

Why did you broaden beyond Web3? +

Because the work led us there. Our Web3 clients needed web, mobile, backend and QA around the on-chain core, then LLMs went production-ready and founders started asking us to own product and engineering direction. We followed real demand and the strengths of the specialists in our network, rather than staying in one niche for branding reasons.
