## Introduction to W Effect

[Ver esta parte · 0:00](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=0s)

[0:02](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=2s) electricity I feel fire between you and me I feel pressure feel all emotion I feel pressure me I [Music] feel Kevin rle uh is their managing partner from W effect and a software and guns come so and we will switch into English now just because again uh we also have english- speaking um guests and uh yeah

[0:44](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=44s) we just we were back and forth about should we do it in German or English but now we we settled on English I think right did we yeah I think so okay so um yeah Kevin um the software

## Software agency insights

[Ver esta parte · 0:55](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=55s)

[0:57](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=57s) agency um you have you the man partner with Kristoff right your um exactly yeah exactly uh like Kristoff is my co-founder over there exactly the guy with the all the way in the back um yeah exactly like as a software agency our clients are uh in contrast to many other Austrian companies quite International they're from the US UK uh Dubai Australia Singapore that's basically where um our clients are coming from and yeah yeah thank you for

[1:33](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=93s) the invitation by the way yeah of course because also we have been talking about uh your topic uh a lot as well because I'm very interested in uh AI actually and and the whole new thing and also blockchain and I've met I've had many uh basically people already try to explain it to me uh blockchain and the whole nft thing and and web 3 and you know trying to keep up with that uh but um yeah so you are the expert in that well expert

[2:05](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=125s) is always a really heavy word um but of course um I'm definitely uh knowledgeable enough to explain it let's say to children for example as we you know but you do those workshops right the coding for kids exactly love that actually last one was in Bangkok in October and next one will be uh most likely in Las Vegas and of really I see I didn't know that actually yeah it's not okay yeah cool yeah so it's coding for kids yeah um so what do you do there

[2:38](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=158s) exactly just really quick before we get into the nft and blockchain sure thing

## Demystifying blockchain

[Ver esta parte · 2:42](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=162s)

[2:43](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=163s) uh well in general blockchain is always associated with a lot of you know bad things with criminals hacks scams just things people don't want to touch right and since that partially completely true let's be honest it's also to a huge part completely wrong and for that reason we decided to bring that topic uh to basically most important people in our society children teenagers and you know also with that idea if you can't explain it to children you don't

[3:23](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=203s) understand it well enough yourself so exactly it's not always the very difficult explanations if yeah you you really have you know if you have understood something you can actually explain it into two sentences usually okay um and we did talk about now that you were just saying Bangkok so the the you know West and East right how to how people um actually go into this topic of blockchain and um you were telling me about the difference

[3:54](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=234s) of West and Eastern look onto that let let's do a small experiment here if if you allow sure who thinks or is has the opinion that blockchain doesn't make sense or has no idea about blockchain or what's the purpose of it please raise your hand if you don't really think that's you know yeah the the rest understands blockchain uses it maybe really interesting uh cool stuff well basically

## Blockchain utility and use

[Ver esta parte · 4:28](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=268s)

[4:28](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=268s) what you can observe is is and the broad Society especially people in the west usually ask why blockchain why what's behind all of that right we read Bitcoin in in the newspapers and all these articles out there Rising Bitcoin prices and uh falling down but in the end uh people always wonder like why do I need that it just consumes a lot of energy right and why while uh we in the west are let's say lucky enough to not

[5:06](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=306s) understand it people in the East or in the South need it because they don't have access to Banks the currency uh inflates by 50 100% per year basically they don't have the ability any currency to buy food with in a legitimate or reasonable way because it's worth nothing and that's what right one one of the things that cryptocurrencies Sol we are we are very in the west we are very you know worried about security breaches and

[5:41](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=341s) people stealing out our data and all that right and in the in the East they kind sometimes they they they need it like they see it as a big gain for their freedom sometimes you know to you know to not be dependent on government and whatever exactly that's actually what blockchain is about but you as the user as a human being you get the control over your data over your money over your identity even right and that's if you

[6:13](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=373s) think about it gree Ukraine and all these countries if the bank says you don't have access to your money I think you can be a millionaire but still that happens it still happens that sometimes the government can say okay we're just uh closing the banks and that's where you see all the lines right in front of where people just really want to get scrambled to get their money and everything so if you have that on blockchain uh it's basically yours can

[6:44](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=404s) you just now okay so now that we went into it so give us the two sentences about blockchain and uh you know what is it exactly and what how does it help us the simplest simplest explanation I can

## Practical crypto challenges

[Ver esta parte · 6:55](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=415s)

[6:57](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=417s) give you is it's a bank that nobody owns that's it you have your money somewhere you can have your real estate on there you can have your artwork on there whatever it's yours that's it it's not a bank that says I have a big Excel sheet with who owns what but everyone in the world sees and knows what's the truth who owns how much money and who doesn't right so that's the big uh differentiating Factor there's no money Printing and nothing like that right all

[7:36](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=456s) these things that even now we in the west worry about are actually not really a topic in that industry yeah and you know it's funny because I I I bought Bitcoin um oh I did I did buy Bitcoin right in the beginning and then it was Rising for a little bit and then I was like oh yeah so let's get the game so I sold it and then it you know went Higher and Higher and then I was okay I now I need to buy it again um and then I sold

[8:05](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=485s) it again later when it was going down so now I don't have Bitcoin at the moment but right now it's going back up right so I really I mean it's it's it's actually something that will stay e or ether ethereum or or Bitcoin whatever and um so it's just playing around a little bit with it but so you I had a wallet a digital wallet you need to you need to get for for some of the smaller coins and um I lost the wallet oh yeah I

[8:35](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=515s) know it's a digital wallet you have like it has like a I don't know such a long series of numbers right a password basically yeah it's a password but it's more like a past sentence to be honest it's not just a word it's like a sentence and uh I don't know I lost it somewhere and I had money on there and then it was gone so that's the other thing you have you know it's just you can't just you know call the bank and be like can I have another the bank card

[9:00](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=540s) please it's like you really really then you know it's your in your control but it's also if you lose it then you lose it there are people that lost billions with that yeah exactly Still A Guy searching in the uh UK with robot dogs you know on the uh landfill basically for that password so yeah no luck yet so

## Podcast and content strategy

[Ver esta parte · 9:21](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=561s)

[9:21](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=561s) but you also have a podcast right like so you have a pod how many followers do you have right now with the podcast uh on LinkedIn I have plus 7 1K followers which is I would say reasonable yeah but yeah basically our guests are you know quite Niche topics you know from former US Most Wanted cyber criminal Brett Johnson to hedge fund managers with plus 1 billion under management or artists that send their art into space and these

[9:49](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=589s) kind of things and uh they you know they are always happy if they have some kind of a platform where they can go in depth about their topics yeah and I saw that you have a lot of international guests on there how do you find these or are they approaching you or how does that work it's a mix right um if you have some kind of a personal brand people trust you it's similar with our clients right they're also all International and in

[10:20](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=620s) general if they see okay the quality of the podcast looks good cool people like it and at the same time you of course if you can do a little bit of name dropping as I did before people look at it a little bit differently and that gives you a lot of uh leverage getting better and better guests but while still growing your podcast and yeah aside from that we a lot of PR agencies have us in their list you know if someone pays them

[10:49](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=649s) to get them onto podcasts we get approached by those agencies oh but that's something I mean that's pretty cool I think um you know because I bought Al I'm always telling from my life because I have I bought a microphone for podcast two years ago and not yet achieved the podcast so it's it's at home and I really wanted to uh you know to to start it but I didn't really know how and when or whatever so today you are have your microphone with

[11:19](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=679s) you over there right in the back ex um and you will do speed podcasts right exactly anyone so anyone who wants to try our podcast today can do that with Kevin over there who's very experienced and then you know you record it and give it to the person later or how does it work um it will be recorded um if you leave your email there of course you can uh send us like I approv this you know so if you have something in there that

[11:46](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=706s) you don't like we won't publish it and once you're fine with it we would publish it on our channels on YouTube uh some kind of format depending on how many people are interested in that yeah but but exactly so I think I will come around and for sure try out the podcast for sure and um yeah so did we want to talk about one more thing nfts the nfts um were very on

## NFTs and tech adoption

[Ver esta parte · 12:11](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=731s)

[12:16](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=736s) woke and then everybody said they died and what happened now what do you think well I was never a fan of nfts to be honest um I lost a lot of money with them too really uh yeah okay like all of it um but let's say it's with every like with every technology right there's like 90% just like with AI iot quantum computers 3D printing all of that 90% sorry for the uh for the term is rubbish 10% or even 1% make it and actually make sense

[12:57](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=777s) and it's the same with nfts same with blockchain and all these kind of Technologies they have a certain use case but you know much what you see in startups just doesn't make sense that's the shortest answer I can give you okay nfts basically okay so nfts are still going but you're not you're not a fan they're they're still going but I'm more in a let's say less fancy way alha Romeo for examp example has an nft in their

[13:31](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=811s) car to validate like what kind of services you have done so that you cannot fake it you canot manipulate it just simple B use cases that's gamification I think right like a lot of people use gamification these days very a lot of Brands uh to right for their customers um so you can basically yeah you can collect I don't know little nfts or points or loyalty programs and it's on this kind of on this kind of level instead of just just the loyalty card a

[14:01](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=841s) great example or great examples are Starbucks Reddit for example they both use NFS under the hood and that's how it should be you as a user don't know what kind of Technology you're using you should just benefit from it and if it uses blockchain nfts or whatever cool if not cool too that's yeah and one more

## No-BS approach to business

[Ver esta parte · 14:24](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=864s)

[14:25](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=865s) thing I just wanted to add to because you always you said once to me you have this no BS approach so the no bot approach to software or to technology really just because you have a lot of you know clients come to you or customers and they everybody's a little bit like okay we need technology we need blockchain we need smart contracts and our work now uh and then you would say well uh it may sound a little bit counterintuitive but every client that

[14:57](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=897s) comes to me I always try to really ask them why do you think you need that like why do you think you need nfts why do you think you need blockchain why do you think you need AI because almost always depending on the goal you have right because especially as a startup you don't have that million doll budget or something like that you want to focus on the so-call minimal happy path what kind of problem do you want to solve do

[15:27](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=927s) you want to raise money Do you want to build a community do you want to get your first paying uh customer whatever all these goals are completely different in terms of how you achieve them with the minimal amount of budget in terms of I just want to raise money most often you don't need to create a software product for that a cool fancy pitch tag with a lot of Market data and all these kind of things can be sufficient for

[15:58](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=958s) certain ticket size and that's basically uh sometimes not so good for us right because some clients uh then understand okay I don't need you guys now but in in the long run it's always it's isn't it yeah and that always pays off I don't know yet but let's see so so everybody with software issues and uh questions you'll be here all day and Christoph as well well and uh we'll do speed podcasts later in the break thank you Kevin thanks je thank

[16:36](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kElS7Hp-adc&t=996s) [Applause] [Music] you

"transcript": "electricity I feel fire between you and me I feel pressure feel all emotion I feel pressure me I [Music] feel Kevin rle uh is their managing partner from W effect and a software and guns come so and we will switch into English now just because again uh we also have english- speaking um guests and uh yeah\nwe just we were back and forth about should we do it in German or English but now we we settled on English I think right did we yeah I think so okay so um yeah Kevin um the software\nagency um you have you the man partner with Kristoff right your um exactly yeah exactly uh like Kristoff is my co-founder over there exactly the guy with the all the way in the back um yeah exactly like as a software agency our clients are uh in contrast to many other Austrian companies quite International they're from the US UK uh Dubai Australia Singapore that's basically where um our clients are coming from and yeah yeah thank you for\nthe invitation by the way yeah of course because also we have been talking about uh your topic uh a lot as well because I'm very interested in uh AI actually and and the whole new thing and also blockchain and I've met I've had many uh basically people already try to explain it to me uh blockchain and the whole nft thing and and web 3 and you know trying to keep up with that uh but um yeah so you are the expert in that well expert\nis always a really heavy word um but of course um I'm definitely uh knowledgeable enough to explain it let's say to children for example as we you know but you do those workshops right the coding for kids exactly love that actually last one was in Bangkok in October and next one will be uh most likely in Las Vegas and of really I see I didn't know that actually yeah it's not okay yeah cool yeah so it's coding for kids yeah um so what do you do there\nexactly just really quick before we get into the nft and blockchain sure thing\nuh well in general blockchain is always associated with a lot of you know bad things with criminals hacks scams just things people don't want to touch right and since that partially completely true let's be honest it's also to a huge part completely wrong and for that reason we decided to bring that topic uh to basically most important people in our society children teenagers and you know also with that idea if you can't explain it to children you don't\nunderstand it well enough yourself so exactly it's not always the very difficult explanations if yeah you you really have you know if you have understood something you can actually explain it into two sentences usually okay um and we did talk about now that you were just saying Bangkok so the the you know West and East right how to how people um actually go into this topic of blockchain and um you were telling me about the difference\nof West and Eastern look onto that let let's do a small experiment here if if you allow sure who thinks or is has the opinion that blockchain doesn't make sense or has no idea about blockchain or what's the purpose of it please raise your hand if you don't really think that's you know yeah the the rest understands blockchain uses it maybe really interesting uh cool stuff well basically\nwhat you can observe is is and the broad Society especially people in the west usually ask why blockchain why what's behind all of that right we read Bitcoin in in the newspapers and all these articles out there Rising Bitcoin prices and uh falling down but in the end uh people always wonder like why do I need that it just consumes a lot of energy right and why while uh we in the west are let's say lucky enough to not\nunderstand it people in the East or in the South need it because they don't have access to Banks the currency uh inflates by 50 100% per year basically they don't have the ability any currency to buy food with in a legitimate or reasonable way because it's worth nothing and that's what right one one of the things that cryptocurrencies Sol we are we are very in the west we are very you know worried about security breaches and\npeople stealing out our data and all that right and in the in the East they kind sometimes they they they need it like they see it as a big gain for their freedom sometimes you know to you know to not be dependent on government and whatever exactly that's actually what blockchain is about but you as the user as a human being you get the control over your data over your money over your identity even right and that's if you\nthink about it gree Ukraine and all these countries if the bank says you don't have access to your money I think you can be a millionaire but still that happens it still happens that sometimes the government can say okay we're just uh closing the banks and that's where you see all the lines right in front of where people just really want to get scrambled to get their money and everything so if you have that on blockchain uh it's basically yours can\nyou just now okay so now that we went into it so give us the two sentences about blockchain and uh you know what is it exactly and what how does it help us the simplest simplest explanation I can\ngive you is it's a bank that nobody owns that's it you have your money somewhere you can have your real estate on there you can have your artwork on there whatever it's yours that's it it's not a bank that says I have a big Excel sheet with who owns what but everyone in the world sees and knows what's the truth who owns how much money and who doesn't right so that's the big uh differentiating Factor there's no money Printing and nothing like that right all\nthese things that even now we in the west worry about are actually not really a topic in that industry yeah and you know it's funny because I I I bought Bitcoin um oh I did I did buy Bitcoin right in the beginning and then it was Rising for a little bit and then I was like oh yeah so let's get the game so I sold it and then it you know went Higher and Higher and then I was okay I now I need to buy it again um and then I sold\nit again later when it was going down so now I don't have Bitcoin at the moment but right now it's going back up right so I really I mean it's it's it's actually something that will stay e or ether ethereum or or Bitcoin whatever and um so it's just playing around a little bit with it but so you I had a wallet a digital wallet you need to you need to get for for some of the smaller coins and um I lost the wallet oh yeah I\nknow it's a digital wallet you have like it has like a I don't know such a long series of numbers right a password basically yeah it's a password but it's more like a past sentence to be honest it's not just a word it's like a sentence and uh I don't know I lost it somewhere and I had money on there and then it was gone so that's the other thing you have you know it's just you can't just you know call the bank and be like can I have another the bank card\nplease it's like you really really then you know it's your in your control but it's also if you lose it then you lose it there are people that lost billions with that yeah exactly Still A Guy searching in the uh UK with robot dogs you know on the uh landfill basically for that password so yeah no luck yet so\nbut you also have a podcast right like so you have a pod how many followers do you have right now with the podcast uh on LinkedIn I have plus 7 1K followers which is I would say reasonable yeah but yeah basically our guests are you know quite Niche topics you know from former US Most Wanted cyber criminal Brett Johnson to hedge fund managers with plus 1 billion under management or artists that send their art into space and these\nkind of things and uh they you know they are always happy if they have some kind of a platform where they can go in depth about their topics yeah and I saw that you have a lot of international guests on there how do you find these or are they approaching you or how does that work it's a mix right um if you have some kind of a personal brand people trust you it's similar with our clients right they're also all International and in\ngeneral if they see okay the quality of the podcast looks good cool people like it and at the same time you of course if you can do a little bit of name dropping as I did before people look at it a little bit differently and that gives you a lot of uh leverage getting better and better guests but while still growing your podcast and yeah aside from that we a lot of PR agencies have us in their list you know if someone pays them\nto get them onto podcasts we get approached by those agencies oh but that's something I mean that's pretty cool I think um you know because I bought Al I'm always telling from my life because I have I bought a microphone for podcast two years ago and not yet achieved the podcast so it's it's at home and I really wanted to uh you know to to start it but I didn't really know how and when or whatever so today you are have your microphone with\nyou over there right in the back ex um and you will do speed podcasts right exactly anyone so anyone who wants to try our podcast today can do that with Kevin over there who's very experienced and then you know you record it and give it to the person later or how does it work um it will be recorded um if you leave your email there of course you can uh send us like I approv this you know so if you have something in there that\nyou don't like we won't publish it and once you're fine with it we would publish it on our channels on YouTube uh some kind of format depending on how many people are interested in that yeah but but exactly so I think I will come around and for sure try out the podcast for sure and um yeah so did we want to talk about one more thing nfts the nfts um were very on\nwoke and then everybody said they died and what happened now what do you think well I was never a fan of nfts to be honest um I lost a lot of money with them too really uh yeah okay like all of it um but let's say it's with every like with every technology right",
