WHY A MASCOT

Software is made by people. It may as well feel human.

Wavect works on technically demanding products, but complexity is never an excuse to sound distant. Ernesto gives our company a face that is warmer, stranger, and more honest than another stock photo of people pointing at a laptop. Kids like him. Adults do too, although they usually pretend it is because of the branding.

A BRIEF 3D ERA

In 2023, Ernesto escaped the screen.

For DMEXCO and w3.vision in 2023, Wavect and Tyrolean creative partners turned Ernesto into a detailed 3D print and a browser-based AR experience opened by URL and NFC. More than 90 visitors collected the related digital keepsake across two event days. The original activation is history, not a live product today.

Yes, there was an Ernesto card game.

We once made a physical Web3 card game around Ernesto for workshops, events, clients, and curious families. It was designed to make the language of wallets, tokens, and online communities easier to talk about around a table.

We no longer sell it. Existing clients can ask for one of the remaining German or English decks while stock lasts.

Who is Ernesto?

Ernesto is Wavect GmbH's fictional company mascot: a sarcastic snail with a turquoise shell and a serious interest in chocolate.

Why does a software company have a snail mascot?

Because technical work can be rigorous without making the company behind it feel anonymous. Ernesto makes Wavect more recognizable and more human.

Was Ernesto really an AR character?

Yes. In 2023, a browser-based AR version and detailed 3D print appeared at DMEXCO and w3.vision as a time-limited creative activation.

Can I buy the card game?

No. It is no longer for sale. Existing clients may ask whether a remaining German or English deck is available.
