WAVECT vs MORGENDIGITAL

Wavect or Morgendigital. A broad Innsbruck digital agency, or a senior product-engineering team.

Morgendigital is an Innsbruck digital agency: its published service list runs from websites, online shops and booking systems to AI applications, AI chatbots, AI automation and WhatsApp marketing, and its own company page describes a 15-person team. The Localmind on-prem AI platform is published by Localmind GmbH, a separate Austrian company. We are a smaller senior team that builds custom software products and integrates whichever model you choose, hosted or self-hosted. If your brief is one German-speaking partner for web, marketing and AI apps, Morgendigital publishes exactly that. If your brief is product engineering across web, mobile, IoT and AI with both founders on the call, that is us.

Decision snapshot

VerdictMorgendigital GmbH publishes a broad digital-agency offering in German, from websites and online shops to AI chatbots and automation.21 Wavect is a senior product-engineering team that builds custom software and integrates whichever model you pick, hosted or self-hosted. If what you actually want is the packaged Localmind on-prem AI platform, that is published by Localmind GmbH, a separate Austrian company.5

Wavect is best when

  • You need a product engineered end to end: backend, mobile, integrations, and an LLM as one feature inside it.
  • You are model-agnostic and want a partner who integrates hosted, self-hosted or hybrid stacks.
  • You need capabilities outside a digital-agency service list: IoT, smart contracts, QA engineering, fractional technical leadership.

The alternative is best when

  • You want one German-speaking partner for the website, the shop, the booking flow and a chatbot on top. Morgendigital publishes all of that on one service list.21
  • Your brief includes performance marketing, WhatsApp campaigns or hotel and chalet sites. Those appear on their published offering and not on ours.1
  • Your hard requirement is a packaged on-prem AI platform rather than a build. Localmind publishes on-premise operation of the full model stack on your own hardware, EU cloud models switchable per workspace and task, and managed operation at named EU partners.4 It is published by Localmind GmbH, registered in Innsbruck in January 2024, so check which entity would licence and support it.5

Questions to ask before you choose

  1. Ask which legal entity would sign, and for what. The company register lists Morgendigital GmbH (FN 611964y) and Localmind GmbH (FN 620807b) as two separate registrations.35
  2. Ask who writes the AI part of your product, and how that work is staffed alongside the web and marketing work on the same service list.2
  3. Ask us the same two questions. We do not run performance marketing or WhatsApp campaigns, and if half your brief is that, we are the wrong shortlist entry.

Commercial risk to watch

  • The visible price is not the whole cost; the risk sits in scope breadth, who owns the code, and the moment the AI part turns out to be the hard part.
  • Ask what the vendor is paid to increase: hours, seats, retained advice, platform usage, or shipped outcomes.

Evidence notes

  • Every statement about Morgendigital and Localmind on this page carries a numbered source with the date we opened it. Verify pricing, legal entity, references and terms yourself before signing.
  • This page makes no quality claim about either company, in either direction. It reports published scope and register facts, and asks the same scope questions of us.

Project fit: not limited to small builds

Project size and provider headcount are separate decisions. Wavect’s delivery unit is a named senior core, but that does not limit the work to MVPs or short startup projects. Larger projects are split into phases with separate budgets and acceptance criteria. We also build internal systems and process automations inside a client’s existing repositories, tooling and workflows. A vetted bench supports continuity and scope-specific capacity. A larger provider may still be the better choice when the main requirement is several parallel teams, an incumbent framework agreement or certifications Wavect does not currently hold.

The real difference, in practice

Morgendigital GmbH is an Innsbruck digital agency; its imprint gives the legal entity, the register number FN 611964y and an address at Leopoldstraße 20 in Innsbruck.3 Its own company page describes a 15-person team and more than seven years of operation, and the published service list runs from websites, online shops, apps, hotel and chalet sites and booking systems to AI applications, AI chatbots, AI automation and WhatsApp marketing.1 The AI page frames that work as bespoke development rather than as a licensed product.2

An earlier version of this page described Morgendigital as a product company whose business was the Localmind on-prem LLM. That was too narrow, so here is the corrected picture. Trade press reported in October 2023 that Morgendigital was the team behind Localmind AI, described as a turnkey local AI solution that can run without internet access inside the using organisation.6 Localmind now has its own legal entity: Localmind GmbH, registered in Innsbruck on 29 January 2024 under FN 620807b, publishing at localmind.ai.5 On the morgendigital.com pages we reviewed, including the AI services page, we did not find Localmind named as part of the Morgendigital service list.21

So the honest read is that the two offerings overlap in the middle. Both of us will quote a web or AI build for an Austrian client. That makes scope the question worth asking, twice. Ask them which parts of your product their own team builds, which they would bring a partner in for, and how the AI work is staffed next to the marketing work. Then ask us the same: we do not do performance marketing, WhatsApp campaigns or hotel booking sites, and if that is half your brief we are the wrong shortlist entry. None of that says anything about how well either team delivers. It is a scope question with a factual answer on both sides.

If the requirement is the packaged on-prem platform rather than a build, Localmind publishes on-premise operation of the full model stack on your own hardware, EU cloud models switchable per workspace and task, and managed operation at named EU partners.4 That is a licence purchase from Localmind GmbH, and we are happy to build the application around it.5

When each is the better call

// 01

When Wavect is the better call

  • You need a product engineered end to end: backend, mobile, integrations, and an LLM as one feature inside it.
  • You are model-agnostic and want a partner who integrates hosted, self-hosted or hybrid stacks.
  • Your customer base extends beyond DACH and you need delivery in English alongside German.
  • You need capabilities outside a digital-agency service list: IoT, smart contracts, QA engineering, fractional technical leadership.
// 02

When Morgendigital is the better call

  • You want one German-speaking partner for the website, the shop, the booking flow and a chatbot on top. Morgendigital publishes all of that on one service list.21
  • Your brief includes performance marketing, WhatsApp campaigns or hotel and chalet sites. Those appear on their published offering and not on ours.1
  • You want a local Innsbruck team of around fifteen people rather than a two-founder shop with a senior network. Their company page states a 15-person team.1
  • Your hard requirement is the packaged Localmind on-prem AI platform. It is published by Localmind GmbH, a separate Austrian company registered in January 2024, and licensing it does not require a bespoke build.54

If your brief is one German-speaking partner for web, marketing and AI apps, Morgendigital publishes exactly that.1 If your brief is product engineering you own end to end, talk to us.

FAQs

Partly. Both of us will quote a web or AI build for an Austrian client. The published offerings differ at the edges: theirs includes performance marketing, WhatsApp campaigns and hotel and chalet sites, ours includes IoT, smart contracts, QA engineering and fractional technical leadership.1 Where the brief is a website with a chatbot, they are a direct alternative. Where it is a product with a multi-year roadmap, the two shortlists diverge.
Localmind is published at localmind.ai by Localmind GmbH, registered in Innsbruck on 29 January 2024 under FN 620807b, which is a different registration from Morgendigital GmbH (FN 611964y).53 Trade press reported in October 2023 that Morgendigital was the team behind Localmind AI.6 On the morgendigital.com pages we reviewed we did not find Localmind on the Morgendigital service list.2 Ask which entity would licence, invoice and support it before you sign.
Technically yes. Model choice is the customer’s, self-hosted ones included. We have not delivered a Localmind integration as of August 2026. Localmind publishes an on-premise deployment on your own hardware with EU cloud models switchable per workspace, so the integration shape would resemble other self-hosted LLM work we have done.4
No. We are a services company and we do not license a platform of our own. If your hard requirement is a packaged on-prem AI platform you can buy and deploy, Localmind and comparable vendors are the right path.4
Yes. Their published service list covers websites, online shops, apps and booking systems alongside the AI work, and the AI page frames it as bespoke development.12 Our distinction is not that they cannot build a frontend or an app. It is that our default engagement owns the full product decision, model choice, architecture and delivery, with no house platform in the scope.
On the pages we reviewed, Morgendigital does not publish prices.21 Wavect sells a bespoke build: weekly retainers from €400 per week, full-stack delivery at €10,000 to €30,000 per month, or a fixed-price Werkvertrag from €3,500. A direct comparison is only meaningful inside a specific scope.
