The structural question is platform versus product. Licensing MyGPT means the roadmap, the pricing, and the boundaries of what is possible belong to the vendor, a VC-backed company whose priorities are set by its own product strategy. Token-based billing is transparent in mechanics but sales-gated in price. None of this is a criticism; it is what buying any platform means.

That is more expensive than licensing a platform that already fits, and cheaper than bending a platform into something it is not.
