Wavect or Dev House Austria. Read both imprints, then compare the models.

Start with what they offer, fairly. Their published services overview runs from full-cycle development, staff augmentation and team extension to ERP, mainframe support, legacy modernisation, blockchain, IoT and vibe coding.³ Their about page describes a Software Squads-as-a-Service model, with squad leaders at 10+ years of experience and tech leads whose stated focus is code reviews, and it states 100+ in-house software developers and 70+ delivered projects.² If you want development capacity at group scale with a DACH-facing front end, that model exists for a reason.

Now the structural facts, all from pages they publish and all read on 4 August 2026. The imprint gives the operating entity as a limited liability company registered in Abu Dhabi, licence number CN-6456524, supervised by the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi, lists the Austrian entity as coming soon, and states that disputes are subject to the courts of Abu Dhabi unless otherwise agreed in writing or mandatorily required by UAE federal law.¹ The same imprint states that personal data is processed under the UAE data protection law and, where applicable, the GDPR.¹ At the same time their about page calls the company Vienna-based and names Vienna as the headquarters, and a Vienna office address and an Austrian phone number are published.²⁵ Both of those can be current at once while a local entity is being set up, so this is not a statement about the quality of their work. The question it leaves is simply which entity would be your counterparty, and that is a fair question to put to any provider, us included: our answer is one Austrian GmbH and no second entity.

Two published numbers are worth reconciling before you compare anything else. Their about page states 100+ in-house software developers.² Their Clutch profile for the Austria brand lists a 10 to 49 employee range, a 25 to 49 USD hourly band and a 25,000 USD minimum project size.⁷ Vendor pages and directory profiles are maintained on different schedules, so a gap between them is not evidence of anything about their work. Ask which of the two describes the bench that would actually staff your project, and where those people sit. Ask us the same: we are two founders plus the named senior who does the work, and that is the whole bench.

The track record is worth tracing to an entity too. Their about page dates the founding to 2012, as part of the Dev Centre House group.² The Irish company register records Dev Centre House Limited, company number 568299, registered at the Dublin address the group publishes, as incorporated in September 2015 and currently in normal status.⁶ Their own case study index credits the work shown to Dev Centre House Ireland.⁴ A brand can legitimately be older than the company that now carries it, and none of this reflects on their engineering. The useful question is which legal entity holds the references you are being shown, and whether you can call those clients. We have the same brand-versus-entity gap and would rather you check ours too, since Wavect began as a sole-trader registration in 2018 and the GmbH dates from 2022.

Why it matters in practice: contract enforcement, GDPR processor questions, and warranty claims all run through the entity you sign with and the law that applies to it. Worth asking, independently of code quality: which entity would you be contracting with, under which country’s law, and what would enforcing a claim there involve for you? Your own lawyer, not any vendor, is the right person to price that.
