WAVECT vs ANDELA

# Wavect or Andela. Enterprise AI capacity, or a small senior product team on weekly outcomes.

Andela offers AI-native engineers in three published tiers, an AI solutions line covering data readiness, model alignment and production AI, and AI upskilling for teams. We deliver a small senior team on weekly outcome fees with no minimum tenure. If you need global AI capacity at enterprise scale, Andela is built for it. If direction and scope are still the main risk, the comparison shifts.

Illustrative buyer scenario, not a customer quotation

If you scale to a large engineering team, who owns the decision about what to build, so added headcount turns into shipped traction rather than a feature factory?

TL;DR

Andela deploys AI-native engineers and managed teams for enterprise AI, with project terms set per statement of work. We deliver a small senior team on weekly outcomes with no minimum tenure. If you need global AI talent and enterprise-scale delivery, Andela is built for it. If direction is still the risk, the comparison shifts.

## Decision snapshot

VerdictThe practical split: Andela is the more efficient pick when the constraint is sustained AI engineering capacity across a long horizon, which its own pages describe as more than 17,000 certified AI-native technologists and talent in more than 135 countries. [3](#cmp-src-3) [5](#cmp-src-5) Wavect is the more efficient pick when direction and scope are the constraint rather than headcount.

### Wavect is best when

- Pre product-market fit. You need weekly optionality while the product bet is still uncertain.
- You need product judgement in the room, not just engineering throughput. Scope is the bottleneck, not headcount.
- Your team is small and a remote-staffing model would dilute the culture. You need a partner, not a vendor roster.

### The alternative is best when

- Post product-market fit. The roadmap is set and the constraint is sustained engineering throughput across a long horizon.
- You need five or more engineers, or a specialised AI engineering tier rather than one senior pair. Andela publishes Builders for AI application engineering, Integrators for AI systems engineering, and Scalers for AI platform and production engineering. [2](#cmp-src-2)
- You need broad time-zone coverage from a distributed network. Andela’s company page states talent in more than 135 countries and a fully remote operating model. [5](#cmp-src-5)
- Your own team needs AI upskilling alongside delivery. Andela publishes training tracks in LLM engineering, agentic AI systems, AI in production, and AI strategy and leadership. [4](#cmp-src-4)

### Questions to ask before you choose

1. With a talent partner plus matched engineers, who by name stays accountable for your account, and what happens if an engineer rolls off mid-project? We read Andela’s public Terms of Use on 4 August 2026 and found no project notice period in it, so ask for the notice terms in writing. [6](#cmp-src-6) Ask us the same question about a mid-sprint change on our side.
2. Andela publishes three engineer tiers and, separately, an AI solutions line covering data readiness, model alignment and production AI. [2](#cmp-src-2) [3](#cmp-src-3) Ask which of the two you are buying, who owns the decision about what to build, and where that split is written into the schedule of work. Put the same question to us.
3. Since commercial remedies and notice vary by contract, ask what the paperwork specifies for IP and source-code ownership, notice periods, and remedies if delivery falls short. Andela’s company page cites more than 2,000 global client master service agreements, so an MSA plus a schedule of work is the frame to expect. [5](#cmp-src-5)

### Commercial risk to watch

- The visible price is not the whole cost, and here there is no visible price at all. We reviewed Andela’s homepage, its AI engineers page and its AI solutions page on 4 August 2026 and found no published prices or rate card; the published route for a buyer is a discovery call. [1](#cmp-src-1) [2](#cmp-src-2) [3](#cmp-src-3) That is normal for enterprise contracting and it is not a criticism. It does mean the only number you can compare against ours is the one in your own proposal.
- Ask what the vendor is paid to increase: hours, seats, retained advice, platform usage, or shipped outcomes. Ask us the same question and make us answer it first.

### Evidence notes

- Every Andela figure on this page was read on 4 August 2026 on the pages listed below. [5](#cmp-src-5) Enterprise terms and published figures change, so verify pricing, legal entity, references and contract terms before you sign.
- This comparison is about two delivery models. It makes no claim about the skill, conduct or quality of any individual engineer in Andela’s network, and none is intended.

## Project fit: not limited to small builds

Project size and provider headcount are separate decisions. Wavect’s delivery unit is a named senior core, but that does not limit the work to MVPs or short startup projects. Larger projects are split into phases with separate budgets and acceptance criteria. We also build internal systems and process automations inside a client’s existing repositories, tooling and workflows. A vetted bench supports continuity and scope-specific capacity. A larger provider may still be the better choice when the main requirement is several parallel teams, an incumbent framework agreement or certifications Wavect does not currently hold.

// 03

## How they actually differ

Six dimensions where Andela and Wavect actually diverge.

| WAVECT | DIMENSION | ALTERNATIVE |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Weekly outcome fee. From €400 per week, or €10,000 to €30,000 per month for full-stack delivery. | PRICING MODEL | We found no published prices or rate card on Andela’s homepage, AI engineers page or AI solutions page on 4 August 2026; the published route for a buyer is a discovery call. [1](#cmp-src-1) [2](#cmp-src-2) [3](#cmp-src-3) What is published is the shape of the offer, three engineer tiers plus an AI solutions line. [2](#cmp-src-2) [3](#cmp-src-3) Any number you compare against ours therefore comes from your own proposal, not from a public page. |
| Four to twelve week sprints, scoped and reviewed. | ENGAGEMENT LENGTH | Andela’s company page cites more than 2,000 global client master service agreements, so expect an MSA plus a schedule of work as the frame. [5](#cmp-src-5) We read its public Terms of Use on 4 August 2026 and found no engagement length and no project notice period there; the only thirty-day period in that document is a window to opt out of the arbitration section. [6](#cmp-src-6) Get term and notice from the proposal. |
| Founder plus engineer on every call. One to three senior people per engagement. | WHO YOU ACTUALLY TALK TO | A talent partner plus matched engineers, in the Builders, Integrators or Scalers tier Andela publishes. [2](#cmp-src-2) Team size scales with the contract. |
| We push back on scope. We own the outcome of the sprint. | SCOPE OWNERSHIP | Andela publishes engineer tiers alongside an AI solutions line covering data readiness, model alignment and production AI. [2](#cmp-src-2) [3](#cmp-src-3) Which side owns the decision about what to build depends on which of the two you buy, and we found no public page that fixes that split, so pin it down in the schedule of work. [3](#cmp-src-3) |
| Austrian-headquartered. 17 countries served. EN and DE delivery, native German on both founders. | GEOGRAPHY / TIME ZONES | Andela’s company page states talent in more than 135 countries, more than 200,000 technologists trained since 2014, and more than 650 clients served, on a fully remote operating model. [5](#cmp-src-5) Whether that translates into overlap with your own working day is a question for the proposal. |
| Refund the last week if it did not blow you away. Cancel any week. | WHAT IF IT FAILS | We found no published commercial remedy and no client notice period in Andela’s public Terms of Use on 4 August 2026, so both belong in the proposal. [6](#cmp-src-6) That is standard for enterprise contracting and is not a criticism. It does mean the comparison here is between our published weekly cancellation and a term you still have to negotiate. |

// 04

## The real difference, in practice

Andela positions itself as the human layer for production AI: its homepage describes training models, deploying AI-native engineers, and upskilling the teams that build them. [1](#cmp-src-1) Its AI solutions page names data readiness, model alignment and production AI, and puts the deployable pool at more than 17,000 certified AI-native technologists. [3](#cmp-src-3) Its engineer page publishes three tiers: Builders for AI application engineering, Integrators for AI systems engineering, and Scalers for AI platform and production engineering. [2](#cmp-src-2) Its company page states talent in more than 135 countries, more than 200,000 technologists trained since 2014, and more than 2,000 global client master service agreements. [5](#cmp-src-5) That is built for organisations that need access to global AI capability and delivery at scale.

We are built for smaller, earlier-stage engagements. A senior team works on weekly outcomes with no minimum tenure, so you can change direction, or stop, in a week.

On commercial terms we will only report what is published. We read Andela’s public Terms of Use on 4 August 2026 and found no engagement length and no project notice period in it; the single thirty-day window in that document is the right to opt out of its arbitration section. [6](#cmp-src-6) The frame to expect is therefore a master service agreement plus a schedule of work, with term, notice and remedies set there rather than on a public page. [5](#cmp-src-5) Hold us to exactly the same standard: ask us for the weekly cancellation clause in the contract, not in a sales deck.

The deciding question is whether you need scaled AI capacity or tighter product ownership. Andela also publishes upskilling tracks for LLM engineering, agentic AI systems, AI in production, and AI strategy and leadership, which is a different lever again. [4](#cmp-src-4) Wavect keeps scope challenge and delivery with one small accountable team.

## When each is the better call

// 01

### When Wavect is the better call

- Pre product-market fit. You need weekly optionality while the product bet is still uncertain.
- You need product judgement in the room, not just engineering throughput. Scope is the bottleneck, not headcount.
- Your team is small and a remote-staffing model would dilute the culture. You need a partner, not a vendor roster.
- You want one bill, one accountability line, founder-grade pushback. Not a talent partner managing a roster on your behalf.

// 02

### When Andela is the better call

- Post product-market fit. The roadmap is set and the constraint is sustained engineering throughput across a long horizon.
- You need five or more engineers, or a specialised AI engineering tier rather than one senior pair. Andela publishes Builders, Integrators and Scalers.

## FAQs

### Is Andela cheaper than Wavect?

Neither of us publishes a like-for-like standard rate for this model, so nobody should claim one. We found no published prices on Andela’s buyer-facing pages on 4 August 2026; the published route is a discovery call. [1](#cmp-src-1) [2](#cmp-src-2) We publish a weekly outcome fee from €400 per week, and €10,000 to €30,000 per month for full-stack delivery. Compare the same scope, team shape, term and ownership, and compare proposals rather than pages.

### Can Wavect scale to ten or more engineers like Andela?

No. Our model caps at one to three senior people per engagement. Andela’s AI solutions page puts its deployable pool at more than 17,000 certified AI-native technologists, so if you need a team of ten or more engineers on a long horizon, Andela and similar networks are set up for that and we are not. [3](#cmp-src-3)

### Does Wavect place engineers in your team long-term like Andela?

No. We work in four to twelve week [sprints](/glossary/sprint/), scoped and reviewed, and we do not run a long-term placement model. Andela publishes three standing engineer tiers, Builders, Integrators and Scalers, which is a different unit of work. [2](#cmp-src-2) The handoff at the end of our engagement includes documented architecture and a hiring brief for the role we kept warm.

### What commitment terms does Andela publish?

On 4 August 2026 we read Andela’s public Terms of Use and found no client minimum term and no project notice period in it; the only thirty-day period in that document is a window to opt out of the arbitration section. [6](#cmp-src-6) Its company page cites more than 2,000 global client master service agreements, so a master agreement plus a schedule of work is the frame to expect, with term and notice set there. [5](#cmp-src-5) Confirm client terms in the proposal rather than from any comparison page, including this one. Our structural difference remains weekly cancellation.

### Do you ever recommend Andela in a discovery call?

Yes. When a founder describes a post-PMF scaling need with a clean roadmap and a budget for sustained throughput, we point them at Andela or a similar global network. Different problem, different tool.

      "description": "Andela offers AI-native engineers in three published tiers, an AI solutions line covering data readiness, model alignment and production AI, and AI upskilling for teams. We deliver a small senior team on weekly outcome fees with no minimum tenure. If you need global AI capacity at enterprise scale, Andela is built for it. If direction and scope are still the main risk, the comparison shifts.",

Its company page cites more than 2,000 global client master service agreements, so a master agreement plus a schedule of work is the frame to expect, with term and notice set there.
