WHO RUNS WAVECT

Founded by engineers tired of agency theatre.

Two founders. A vetted network. No account managers, no handoffs, no slide decks. The people who write the email are the people writing the code.

01 / ORIGIN

ORIGIN

We started Wavect because the agency model is broken.

We'd both spent years inside agencies, consultancies, and venture-backed startups before founding Wavect in 2020. We'd seen the same pattern repeat: the engineers who diagnosed the problem on the discovery call were not the engineers writing the code six weeks later. The senior who closed the deal got reassigned to the next pitch. The juniors inherited the work, lost the context, and shipped something the client never asked for.

So we built the opposite. At least one of us is on every call, on every commit, on every deploy. We have no salespeople, no account managers, no project managers in the middle. If you book a call with Wavect, you book a call with the person who will write the code, or who will tell you honestly that we're the wrong team for it.

The pricing followed from the structure. We don't bill hours, because hours are a metric for filling timesheets, not for shipping outcomes. We invoice weekly. You cancel any week. If the last week didn't blow you away, you tell us, and we refund it. The deal is structurally aligned: every week, we have to earn the next one. Fixed prices are on the table too, but in the AI age our experience is that retainers consistently get you better results: tighter feedback cycles, higher velocity, and the freedom to redirect scope the moment the work makes the next call obvious.

02 / PRINCIPLES

HOW WE WORK

Four operating principles

01

Outcomes, not hours.

We sell ship-dates and ship-quality, not timesheets. If we're optimising for billable hours, we're not optimising for your product.

02

Founder-led delivery.

The two of us are on every project. No account managers, no junior-on-junior handoffs. Knowledge transfer is built into the engagement, not bolted on at exit.

03

Honest 'no'.

When a project would be a bad fit (scope, stack, stage, or budget), we say so on the first call and point you somewhere honest. Saying no is a service.

04

Document everything.

Every project ships with running documentation. We hand off cleanly. You should be able to fire us at any time and your codebase keeps working.

03 / FOUNDERS

THE TWO PEOPLE

The people writing the code

No account managers in the middle. The names on the invoice are the names on the commits.

Portrait of Kevin Riedl, Managing Director of Wavect

Kevin Riedl

Managing Director · Operations & Product

Tyrol, Austria

Kevin founded Wavect in 2020. His side of the business is product, scope, and the customer call: the discovery work that decides whether a feature is worth building before any code gets written. Product instincts forged across 75+ shipped products at Wavect, usually the hard way: in production, with real users. The job is making sure your product actually gets used.

Before Wavect, he ran his own startups (and invested in a few). He lectures at MCI Innsbruck on Blockchain, and together with Christof runs a free programme teaching kids aged 8–16 how software and money actually work.

He also founded and hosts a podcast with 150+ episodes, sitting down with the kind of guests most shows can't book: James Wo (founder of a $1B+ hedge fund), Brett Johnson (once the US most-wanted cybercriminal), and $100M+ exited founders like Alexis Sikorsky and Anastasia Koroleva.

Off-screen: dances Salsa, trains Calisthenics and strength like it's a second job, nerd by heart.

Christof Jori

Managing Director · Software

Vienna, Austria

Christof joined Wavect in 2022 and runs the technical side of every engagement: architecture, code review, the call where a stack decision gets locked in, the production deploy. Senior full-stack engineer with deep range across Web3, AI infrastructure, and large-scale system reliability. The job is making sure the code holds up when the load arrives. It has, for Boba Network, LivLive, Twinsoft AI, and ~40 others.

Before Wavect, he ran his own startups (and invested in a few). He lectures at MCI Innsbruck on Blockchain, and together with Kevin runs a free programme teaching kids aged 8–16 how software and money actually work.

Ten years in, the cross-domain pattern recognition is the unfair advantage: a race condition in a Web3 indexer and a memory leak in an AI inference pipeline often rhyme, and shipping across both means he's seen the failure mode before it reaches your users. Most of his GitHub work is the unglamorous kind, fixing the bug at the root, not patching it three layers up.

Off-screen: serious coffee habit, engineer to the core.

04 / NETWORK

BEYOND THE TWO

Backed by a vetted network of 15+ specialists

When a project needs a graphic designer, a legal advisor, a hardware engineer, or a domain expert in ZK or Machine Learning, we bring them in. They're people we've worked with for years, on actual engagements, not LinkedIn introductions. They invoice through us; you get one contract, one point of contact, one accountable team.

05 / LOCATION

WHERE

Run from a village in the Austrian Alps.

Wavect GmbH is registered in Ampass, Tirol, a 1,500-person mountain village six minutes east of Innsbruck. We're remote-first with most clients (Austria, Germany, Switzerland, the UK, the US, Singapore, the UAE), but we keep a physical office here for the same reason most decent things still happen offline: deep work needs walls, and our part of Austria has the kind of quiet that makes complicated software possible.

No matter where you are: we've made it work before, Australia to West-Coast US.
